I have XP SP 2 - Its been about a week since any of my pop3 accounts have worked (Gawab, Gmail, Spymac, Toughguy). The error messages I am receiving on all of my pop3 accounts are similar to :

The host 'pop.gawab.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop.gawab.com', Server: 'pop.gawab.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

What I have done:
1. Clean Reinstalled XP with SP 2.
2. Disabled the firewall.
3. I have no antivirus installed.
4. After installing XP with SP 2, first thing I checked was my Outlook but no luck.
5. Scanned my HD for viruses, none found.
6. Messed around with SSL no luck
7. Installed a new network card... no luck...


Could someone please help me out. I used my outlook settings on my friends computer and it worked... hmmmm... funny...

Any other suggestions?

Hi,
The only thing you haven't done is to call your Internet Service Provider.
Please call their HelpDesk, and report what you have here. They can help you get it going.
Also, the server might be down, and they can fix it.
