I had to take early retirement and went out on disabilty. This is my only income. Can Captol On Bank take my retirement/disability from my account?

Depends on the state you are in. And the exectution laws in that state.

To answer the prior questions in this thread, a notice of levy means that someone who has a judgment against you has obtained a writ of execution and then seized your property, in Dee's case, a bank account. The notice should tell you how to go about contesting that levy, perhaps by asserting exemption rights in your particular state.

In many states, once you have mingled exempt property (if your disability pension is exempt), with other property, by putting it in a bank account, you might not be able to assert an exemption. Again, it will depend on the law of your jurisdiction.
