    Dishwasher overflow
When my dishwasher cycles it overflows my countertop with lots.lots of water from the air gap on the sink. This happens three to four times during washings. How can I fix it?
    Thanks

Happened to me, too. My problem was an accumulation of sludge in the hose connecting the air gap and garbage disposal/drain. Usually it is a rubber hose clamped on both ends. Pull it off, clean it out and re-install. Worked like a charm for me. If the hose is in really bad shape you may want to just replace it.

This may seem obvious, but have you checked the drain line under the sink? My daughter had the same problem in the house she was renting. Upon inspection, I found that the problem wasn't a clogged line, but the break away cover in the garbage disposal had not been removed, thus no place for the water to go. If the garbage disposal has been replaced, this may be the problem. If not, check the line for clogs.
