I just bought a house and 1 fan is in reverse. I can't find a switch on the fan and there's no reverse on the remote. This is a Hampton Bay fan. The remote says it's model: UC7083T. I also thought there must be a trick with the remote.

Can the pitch of the blades be changed mechanically?
That is only true with Hunter fans from the 1980s and earlier.Quote:

Reverse is a chain that dangles into the glass bowl by the bulbs. Can't be seen from the ground but it is not hidden.
Very unlikely, that's only on a select few model fans.
I have a Hampton Remote and not a new one. When I want to reverse I turn off the fan with the remote and right before the fan stops fully, push medium speed button twice and that will reverse it.
