We have a well and last night our water was working .We were using the dish washer .I went to take a bath and nothing no water at all what could be the problem ?

There are many things that would cause the pump to fail.
The first thing I would check is the breaker box to determine if there's power going to the pump. Check the electric first and if you have power to the pump check to see if you've lost prime. Let us know. Regards, Tom

We were told it won't lose prime when it is running .ours is under ground pump to the well.Some said to look at the stuff and we did ty for your help but it is still not working and if it is the pump I hope not we have to go 200ft to get to it lol.not good

I take from your answer that the breaker has not been thrown. If that is the case, check the switch to make sure the contacts are in the "on" position. If they are, and you know the pump is getting power (can be checked with voltmeter), then either the wiring to the pump has a problem or the pump is out. Either way, the pump will have to come out. If you do not have power at the switch, then you would look at the breaker or the wiring from the breaker to the switch.

Some body came in and said they could not feel the vibs from the pump and it most likely will be that.Because he checked all the elec stuff and it is still working .So we are as I speak pulling it up 200 ft lol to see if it needs cleaned or broke ty again for your help it gave us some idea what to look for

Yeah it was the pump

Thanks for letting us know. So often people will post on this site and then never let anyone know the final resolution of the problem. That can be frustrating. What did the pump job end up costing?

we r still calling around but anywhere from 329 to 500 quoted so far .But with 6 kids left at home and agrandson a few days a wek we really need to get this done lol.Tg we have springs and spring water wells to go to lol.
