    John Deere GX345 gas leak
Hi, My dad has a John Deere GX345 lawn tractor. It is about 2 years old and a problem started several months while under warranty, but 2 dealers have been unable to fix. If the lawn tractor is restarted when hot, gasoline comes out of a tube connected to the carburetor and sprays/drips onto the ground. One dealer replaced the carburetor, but that did not fix the problem. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem or has anyone experienced this problem? Thanks.

If the dealers can not or will not continue to make this right even though they worked on it during warranty, I would suspect that a needle valve is sticking, or the float is not properly adjusted. Does the oil level rise any? Or is the excessive fuel going out through the tube always? An easy fix without having to do a lot is to place an inline fuel shut off valve into the fuel line before your carb. And use it.
