    Noise in Pipe
In the basement the laundry tub pipe and faucet is making a continuos noise which sounds like a toilet after you flush it. I am wondering if this is air in the faucet as it goes away when the water is turned on. The noise is continuous and I can hear it in my powder room on the main level. Any ideas on how I can get rid of this noise would be greatly appreciated. Janice

Your noise is caused by vibration. I track noises down by felling where the vibration's the strongest. It vcould be a loose washer along with a bad seat in your laundry tray faucet or it could be toilet ballcock out of adjustment. You track it down and I'll tell you how to make it go away. Regards, Tom
