    Auto scanners / code readers
I would like to purchase one of those trouble code readers, have never used one before but want to learn. What is the best one / kind to get for home use? I see sears has a couple on sale, one is called OBD II auto scanner and the other OBD2 code reader, are they the same thing? Thanks.

Scan tools have greater cababilities than just a code reader. Depends on what you need.

Yes, They are basically the same. Actually Walmart sales some that are pretty decent. They will tell you what code has been stored, and if you want to erase it. Along with a lot of other stuff. It will come with a book that will tell you what each code means.
