I can't figure this one out for the life of me - I bought this fan new yesterday. The old fan in our bedroom had stopped working. The light was fine, but the fan died, so I just assumed the motor wore out since we use it all the time. Got the new fan up, everything seems good. It lights up but, again, the fan won't go? I can't figure it out! I have the black and blue wires from the fan connecting to the black source wire. The white from the fan is connected to the white source wire. The ground (green) wires are connected. Any clue, at all, what it could be? I'd chalk it up as a defective unit if it weren't for the fact the same thing just happened to our previous fan?

Do me a favor. Wire the fan to a plug. Plug the fan into an outlet in the house, hopefully on an entire different circuit. Lets rule out circuit on bed room.

After reaching my wits end I quit for a while and came back later. I found that the manufacturer had put some sort of rubber stoppers in the blade connections that kept them from rotating and keep them safe in shipment. I've installed fans before and never seen these on any others? Fortunately, that solved the problem. Thanks for offering to help though, I appreciate it!

I never would have thought anyone would leave those stoppers on. I'll remember that for future questions.
