Someteimes, when opening the kitchen faucet, there is a "thumping" type sound in the wall and the water will only trickle out. This happens for either hot or cold water. I get the water flowing again by letting the water trickle out for a few seconds and then full water pressure returns.

I replaced the aerator but the problem still persists

The faucet works better with the aerator removed.

Any suggestions?

I would open up the faucet and check the diverter for trash buildup. Good luck, Tom
