    Veterinarian Bill
Hi, I am new and would love to hear what you have to say. My dog, Jaja, got sick back in April 2006. I happened to have purchased dog insurance in February 2006. Her vet bills came out close to $4000. The insurance would not pay me because they said that it was a preexisting condition. I had no idea that she had any problems until they told me that. I went back and asked her old vet for her medical records. Needless to say, it was a preexisting condition. The doctor noted that she had high ALT levels (enzyme in the liver)in 2005. He never told me. So my girl was living with it for about a year before it really started affecting her health. Had the first vet told me about this back in 2005 we would've been able to keep her fairly healthy by just putting her on some pills (cost $30/one monthly supply), instead what I got was a stack of vet emergency bills. What should I do?

Consult an attorney. You could have a case against the previous vet for not informing you.
