Car Accident, Which Insurance Company pays for it
About 3 weeks ago I was in a car accident. I hit a tree but did not hit anyone else. The ar got ruined and I had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The car didn't belong to me but belonged to my boss. It got ruined but they don';t care about the car and they got a new one a few days later. I want to know which insurance company pays for the hospital bill, would it be mine or would it be their insurance company. The accident happened in New York but I live in PA and am 20 years old. And if my insurance company has to pay for it, does anyone know of an extimate of how much my premium would increase? Hospital bill is about $10,000 to $15,000.

If the accident is your fault, your health insurance should pay for it, not anyone's car insurance. They may have some medical payment from their car insurance but if the accident was your fault, they may not be willing to pay on it. Your car insurance is not involved at this point.

So merely have your own hospital insurance pay for it.
