My 5yr old shihtzu stopped using the doggie pad. How do I retrain her::confused:

You can go to my sticky at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post251809 and adapt my outside methods to the pads. Be sure and read the last paragraph on older dogs. It may not work. 5 year old dogs seldom make behavior changes except in response to something changing. You may need to figure out what and reverse it. That may require a vet visit.

In reference to the answer I received, 5 months ago we rescued a kitten and they get along great. The potty problem just started about 2 weeks ago... the cat does tend to eat her food now but she does the same. Can't think of anything else that might have changed... thanks for your help
