The drain handles my furnace; water softener and water heater. The plumber says that the drain pipe is galvanized or iron and is most likely corroded from the salt and rust. Explained that it would be necessary to replace the drain. This will entail removing the concrete and replacing the drain. I am cappable of removing the concrete and purchasing a new drain, however, I'm not how much is involved in replacing the old drain once it is uncovered. Are there any schematics available? The drain is approximately 30yrs old.
