    Child support
    My son is 18 yrs old and has a six month old baby.he is currently in school and lives with me.How much child support does he have to pay beind an unemployed student. I am willing to help while he is a full time student. How much is right.

    Has the mother gone to court for support/custody issues? The court will determine what support needs to be paid. Geographic area, income and other factors all go into determining support.

    Maybe minimal... it varies from state to state/$25-50 a week/

    I know here, when the father is unemployed the courts figure it up on what would be made if the parent were making minimum wage and working a 40 hour work week. Just happened with my friend.

    Yes each state has a formula for determining child support. Each state also normally has a mim allowed amount. Some states also view the custodial parents income.
