Was recently infected by Sasser.B.Worm virus.

I loaded the Microsoft patch and the Norton Anti-Virus correction tool. Norton now says that their scan does not detect the virus.

Part of Norton's instrcutions was to use their software to quarantine the infected files, which I did. Unfortunately no where in Norton's instructions does it say what to do with the quaratined files.

I don't know if I can delete them or not. Norton's support site is useless.

    Thanks. Take care,

Have you updated the virus definitions?

You should probably use a specific Sasser-killer tool from Symantec if you are already infected.

The purpose of the "quarantine" area is to allow you to "freeze" files somewhere without deleting them. If your system functions normally after the files have been quarantined, you can delete them. :)

    Thanks so much,

Why can't all support sites be this efficient.

Yes, you may safely delete the quarantined files.
