I'll start parents divorced mother stated " i dont want my kids, i just want them for the money" at 8ish dad moved out I got a step mom (I like her more then my mom) and a dog my dad said he was going to a training camp on the month of my b-day when I was 10-11ish he left and never came back also my stepmom left and took my dog I talked to him on e-mail later he came for a surprise visit and told me he got married to my step mom and when he said he lived in ontario it was a lie he lived somewhere else I'm not susposed to mention. So he tries to be in my life over e-mail, phone and surprise visits every 1 1/2 year on my grade 9 grad I learn 2 things 1 my dog was put down and my stepmom has a dieses that cannot be cured and she will die before her time (she has since gotten worse) since then at 16 I went downtown to pool halls drank had sex with random men not good things, dropped out of skool 2x and was so unruly my mother called a crisis mobile team on me. After that I had 2 jobs (ive been working since 12 to pay my own skool supples etc... ) (my moms cheap she only buys nesesities then she buys deep fryers) so anyway I got 2 jobs over summer happened by chance to meet my now boyfriend of over a year, I'm going back to skool in September, and we have an apartment.

I hope you find your peace O-troubles.

My life is an average life, with some ups and downs but nothing a little faith couldn't put right.
I like helping people and that in turn helps me put things that go wrong in my life into perspective.
I am sure others will contribute,
Some of the members stories will give you strength knowing that you are not the only one struggling to find the path to peace. They too have come a long way, fighting, struggling and finding themselves stronger for their experiences!

Oh I'm happy with my life and where I am now I've come to accept it and I am at "peace" I'm just curious if every one has a bad of a life as they make it seem or if they truly grew up in a good home

Are you saying that people lie about growing up in a bad home?

Let me see, two of my previous wife's have passed away, I have one son who has spent most of his adult life in jail because of drugs, My business closed and my last business is not going to work out. I have been shot at, stabbed several times and had a certain group try and have me killed.
So yes I have had my problems in life.

Lol no I dopnt think people lie about there lives I just always hear about people saying they have had horrible lives and to them there life is the worst, so I'm not trying to compare lives or troubles I'm more courious about peoples troubles and how they classify them as good or bad. If that makes any sense!

My father taught me that if you have a room full of people and everyone put their troubles into the middle of the room to choose what problems we want to deal with, had a chance to look at everyone other's problems, then we would be sure to pick our own problems back out.

You see, what may seem insurmountable to you may seem minuscule to me, and visa versa.

I have had to deal with cancer, I have had it... I had to make life altering decisions. I have been poor (very poor)... etc.

Now, if you could choose having cancer and being a mother of young children and all that it entails (including possible death) or having the troubles you have had in your young life, which would you choose?

That's just it I wouldn't. I just want to know about peoples lives. I'm courious. I'm not judging or choosing. If I had to pick I would but even reading that sentence I don't think about which one I would choose I'm not like that. So yeah if I had to choose I would but for now I'm just reading and wondering. Lol your quite on the deffensive!!

No, I am not on the defensive, I am just trying to show you one of the things my father taught me before he passed. I would never exchange my cancer for someone else's problems. It helped me grow as a person, made me stronger.

I think you misread what I was trying to say.

I think most people that say their lives have been perfect are the ones that are lying.
Most have ups and downs in one way or another.
My life has been great at times and rock bottom at times.
My Mom divorced my Father when I was 6 yrs old and for awhile I seen him on weekends then her remarried and had more children and stopped picking me up.
I thought I was special to him and when he dident come it hurt bad.
My mom remarried my who I call my Dad because that is what he has been to me sense 12 yrs of age. When I was 18 I moved in with my sister who was pregnant and alone her husband left and she had a 2 yr old, when I lived with her I kind of became the role of the
Daddy even though I'm a girl I loved the baby when he came I felt like he was part mine,
He died at 14 months old in a tragic accident. That was the hardest thing in my life.
My now husband was a pallbarrer at the funeral and we have been togeather every sense. There was more ups and downs but I would have to wright a novel. LOL

Abusive husbent, her kids wanted to stay with him when she left him though, she was in a wheelchair because of a deisase, by the way she was born with the use of only 1 eye, after she got her kids in there teens, her daughter has a run away fater-to-her-child, then my stepmom meet my dad but now she has a deadly diseas and is going to die soon there's more to her story too but I don't feel like typing 5 pages!
