    ex-boyfriend calls me with drama
My ex-boyfriend and I was together for 1 year. He broke up with me saying that he wasn't ready for me "right" now. Then 2 weeks later I saw him at the mall with a random chick. Just recently he sent me text messages and called me talking about he heard something that I said about him, and I didn't say anything about him.

Can someone tell me why he's calling me for that reason or at all?

    Cause you look gooooooooooooooood:)

Seriously, when a guy gets dumped or breaks it off with a girl, the girl always seems to look more desirable post break up. NOT to say that you did not look good while with him, BUT you remember things and so you miss the girl when you see her, and like I said you girls always look better, mainly cause he does not have you.

As for the phone call, pretty weak with the "i heard you said something" I mean nobody would call over that. He misses you and wants to talk, maybe not to get back together but still.

    Hi lady,

Well did you say something bad about him *just asking*
And maybe he's just calling to find out if you really did and maybe why you said what you said!

    Should I return his call?

I can't tell you why and frankly I wouldn't worry about it. Whatever you may have said about him is between you and the person you said it to (provided it wasn't gossip, untrue or done with malicious intent.) He broke up with you so there's really no need for him to be calling you at all. Just brush it off and move on.

Depends on what you want. If you want him back than that would be a good start, if you want to move on than do not mind his attempts of trying to reach you. I suspect if you call him he will b/s something about how he heard you said something but it must have been a mistake to start a real conversation. NOt an easy decision.

What if I did to let him know that I don't have time for it

Ok so if you didn't say anything, he's just calling.
And if you want to talk to him, call back. If not just brush it off and move on, like s_cianci said.
