For the past 5 yrs I have been waking up in the middle of the night to eat. I usually wake up every hour on the hour. I've tried tylenol PM's Advil PM's Niquil and nothing will keep me asleep. Any sugestions ( besides seeing a DR.)

Have you tried taking melatonin? Its natural and what it does is boost the natural sleep chemicals in your brain. I always find relief with it when I can't sleep. Good luck.

However I must say you should find a way to see a doctor because 5 years is a long time to have this kind of issue.

Melatonin may work for you, but there are other possible issues involved. You really should seek the advice of a doctor and possibly have a sleep study done. You could be suffering from quite a number of conditions that cannot be properly diagnosed via the internet such as diabetes or sleep apnea just to name two.

Thank you I've never tried or even heard of melatonin where can I get it? My mother and grand mother had the same problem. It is getting worse and I am going to the Dr. I just thought I would see if any one had any advice.

You can get it at the drugstore in the vitamin section.

If you are hypoglycemic you really should NOT take ANYTHING without checking with your doctor first.

This may very well have something to do with your hypoglycemia and should be discussed in depth with your doctor.

I have sleep issues quiet often and every couple of night I take 1 Ambien right before I go to sleep... usually on Friday or Saturday night so I don't worry about missing my alarm. I sleep very good then!
