I have spys, need to get rid of them
    Hello all,

I have kids that use the same computer, windows XP, with their own user names. However they are getting on my name somehow and getting into my personal things. Is there a place on the computer that's stores passwords? I would like to password that, lol. Where would I find that do I can get rid of it, or can't I?

The windows passwords are stored in the registry, in encrypted form. You can't delete them, or nobody will be able to log in.

Try to change your password to something more complex. The longer, the better. Use letters, number, and symbols, if possible. @ is a good replacement for the letter a, 0 for o, 1 for I, and $ for s. Good passwords should be at least 8 characters long.

Make sure that the kids do not have an account that is in the administrators group, no matter what your password is they will be able to access your files. Also make sure there are no other "mystery" accounts they've created on the PC in the event you do something to their account.
