Ok... here we go.

I just changed to Condenser Fan motor on my Coleman AC unit. With the new motor I was told to change the capacitor. The old capacitor is a 3.5uf and the new 7.5uf 370vac.

My problem is: The old capacitor is round appox 3" tall. Has 3 places for wires. On the left are 2 wires (one brown, one gold) the brown one I believe goes to the compressor and the gold up to a black square box. The right one has one red wire the goes to the main switch. The third one is goldish and goes to the condenser fan motor. The new capacitor is small and oval. It only has two places for wires.. a left and right. Each one of these places have 4 tabs for connections. Where do I connect each wire off the old capacitor to the new one?

On the top of the old capacitor is letters next to each terminal, write down which wire goes where, the new motor will wire differently, the two brown wires on the new motor will go to the new capacitor (and no others) the two other wires to the new motor will go to the "C" on the old capacitor and the other wire will go to the contactor ( one wire goes to one and one to the other) No wire will go to the "F" terminal on the old capacitor. How many wires and where do they go now?

The old capacitor is unusable... junk. Only have the new one so did I need to get a new one again

The old capacitor had three terminals, that means that it serves the compressor as well as the fan motor. Now it is sized for each , on the side of the capacitor is the rating yours was 3.5 uf and the new one is 7.5, also the compressor rating (what ever it is) lets say it is rated at 30 uf and then the voltage 370vac. The rating will say 3.5/30 uf 370 vac. So the new capacitor would say 7.5/30 uf 370 vac. OR you can use two capacitors , the fan motor cap. Would be 7.5 uf 370 vac. And the compressor would be 30 uf 370 vac. The easiest way is the duel capacitor. Good luck. Mike

So if I run a wire (jumpwire) off the "c" of the old to the right side of the 7.5 and then take the fan wire of the old and put it on the new (left side) then it should work ? Correct?

The new fan motor will probably wire differently, does it have two brown wires? And two colored wires? The way you described using the jumper wire and taking the fan wire from the old cap. To the new cap. Would work if it were wired the same . If the old capacitor is junk then the compressor will not run unless you change it.
I know this may seem confusing because replacement motors have to be wired differently. Your old motor probably only has one brown wire and the new motor will probably have two brown wires. Let me know, thanks

First the compressor does come on. Second the cond motor has a plug on the end of the wiring. The plug is the same for the old and new. The supplier told me that it was the exact replacement motor except that I would need a 7.5 capacitor instead of 3.5. I will go look at the old wiring and see if the is an extra brown wire.. more to come... and thanks a ton

OK I just went and looked... The old motor has 4 wires.. black, red, brown, and green. The new motor is exactly the same... 4 wires... black, red, brown ,and green. Same plug confriguration on both. Hope this helps.

If the wiring is the same then it sounds like you're good to go, I thought the old cap. Was no good but some times only one side goes out and you can replace it by adding a new cap. Just for the fan and using the jumper, give it a try,
