    Finding an owner of a abandend property
    Hi

    There has been a house onnmy road which is under neglect and the house has not been registerd but I am intrested in obtaining this property what do I need to do to find out more this property has been empty for around 6-7 years

    In the US, you can go to the tax office and see who has been paying taxes on it. You can go to the recorder of deeds and see who holds the deed and if there is any mortgage.

    At the tax office they will have an address of who is paying the taxes on the property.

    Many local tax appraisal districts have web sites now. If you Google your county state and tax appraisal you may be able to find something.

    Then you could just type in the address and get the info right on your computer screen.
