Don't you think? They were going to name me destiny but they didn't so now its boring RACHAEL.

Should I change my name?
I was thinking about my middle name "destiny" any ideas? I have brown hair, brown eyes, my favorite color is black, I'm very outgoing and I LOVE to party! I'm very social, and a pretty smile

Another reson I want to change my name is because of my past and all the things people used to say to me, my friends, my dad.

Consider yourself lucky, plus it's very hard to get a "new" name to catch on, unless you move someplace different and tell everyone that's your name. -oh but if you HAVE to change your name, how about Mareena ? I think that's a cool name, destiny's a little TO deep.

Mareena is a pretty name it just not me.. it sounds like a shy blond or red head.. I'm like life of a party.. it's a really pretty name just not me.

Or nicknames r cool too. Like my friends call me chick.

It's just a name, if people judge you based on your name then they are pretty much idiots.

To be a cool kid is to have a wonderful personality.:)

Who cares if it's original or not, be proud of your name.

It could be worse, you could have one of the celebrities babies names.
Now THAT would suck.

You also have to question if these "friends" of yours that make fun of your name are really friends.
A real friend doesn't bag on someone's name that they are friends with.

And I've never dated a woman I liked and thought "man, shed be so much hotter if her name was _________"

I go off a variation of my name, as mine is typically seen as a girls name. Friend goes off a more distant variation on hers. Not uncommon to pick a nick and run with it.

Id say don't stress about it too much.

Besides, I've always thought the few girls I knew named rachael, and there were only two, were cute as hell and interesting. But then it had nothing to do with their name...

You could always make rachel more fun, try shelly, rach, elle something you know

LOL - I was almost named Raven... which would have been a little strange on a blonde.
