Blower will not come on but compressor is running
I am having a problem with my a/c unit. I have had the HVAC people hear 7x and they can't seem to find the problem. They changed the thermostat thinking that was the problem but it only worked for about 3 hours after they did that. They said they were going to call the tech people with the mfg to see if they could off any help. The compressor is running but not the blower. It does not happen all the time but several times a day. When this happens sometimes I can get the blower to come on if I flip the reset fuse on the indoor unit. Any suggestions? They are thinking it could be the blower motor.

It does sound like the blower motor. When you reset the fuse, are you talking about the breaker box?

On the front of the indoor unit there are two switches that are some type of breaker for the compressor and blower. It isn't the breaker box for the entire house. I do check the breaker box when this happened since I thought something way wrong there also. I have never had to reset that switch.

    Thanks

Which motor is not operating right the indoor motor or the outdoor motor? If it is the indoor motor it could be the relay switch and if it is a new enough unit it may be the relay on the circuit board, which means a new board unless your's is a unit that the relays plug in and out. What brand of unit do you have.

I agree with Letmetellu, I am thinking that they have a air handler with breakers in the front panel that are for the aux. heat strip and the blower. I might add to check for loose wires in the control panel of the air handler.

It is on the front of the indoor unit and the unit is a Jannitrol installed in 2001.
