Yes sometimes having heavy bleeding is normal. I had a positive pregnancy test and had a regular period that month. If it is a major concern or you are having abnormal pain see a doctor right away. Congrats.

Katie, understand that implantation bleeding has never been proven scientifically. That little baby that implants in our womb is smaller than a pencil dot and is microscopic. Something that small will not cause bleeding.

Usually, when a woman experiences bleeding in early pregnancy, such as you are having, their bodies are geared up for a period prior to implantation. So, you are most likely experiencing a false period or pseudo period.

You really need to consult your OB/GYN regarding this as many women do have bleeding as a normal part of their early pregnancy, however, some experience a miscarriage without even knowing they are pregnant.

What you will get here is a lot of opinions based on experience. While this is all well and good, you really need to seek the advice of your health care provider to get an accurate diagnosis.

Good going girl. Glad you have the doc appointment.

Just remember that there are more false negatives than there are false positives.

Drink your orange juice, it has lots of folic acid.
