    220 wiring in Italy
Is anyone familiar with Italy's 220 wiring? We are a boat manufacturer and cannot find the info anywhere. Our rigger is trying to find out if the current is one sided or two legged.

Thanking you in advance for any help you can share.

Italy uses 230 volts with equipment ground. Most 230 volt systems in Europe use a grounded neutral for one leg of the 230 volts.

This shows the plug configuration and amp ratings of the plugs used in Italy, look for it in the list of countries:

Electricity around the world: everything about plugs, sockets, voltages, converters, etc.

Note the largest is amp rating is 16 amps, so beyond that may need to hard wire.

If this is a marina connection, check with marinas as there may be a common standard marine connector used in all marinas.
