I have a GE Side by side refrigerator with a ice and water dispenser on the door. My refrigerator has started making a loud nocking noise. It does it randomly through out the day and night. Other then that it works fine. My refrigerator is 13 years old

Esquire, I am thinking that it could be the condenser fan striking something, what about you?

I thought of that too. Wanting to know what part of unit noise was coming from, up or down. I have seen cases where the evap fan mounting bracket has broken causing these symptoms.
