She probably means the norplant. It is still used in countries other than US. Why do you think that you are pregnant? Just because the period is lighter? When was it due?

The reason I ask is because you did just start the hormones, and therefore your body will react by altering your cycle. This is completely normal. If there is another reason you think you are pregnant, please let me know. I suggest if you are that concerned, buy a HPT and test at home.
