I saw a movie about 12-15 years ago. It was about a young woman who was held captive in a closet and tortured because of war crimes. By the end of the movie she had reversed the position the torturee/torturer role; and I think the torturer ended up being her father?
I believe this movie was sponsored by a P.O.W. organization who advertised at the end of the movie asking if anyone wanted to help POWs.
Does anyone know this movie?

This is a long shot... it MIGHT be Death and the Maiden, although the details you report don't quite match up. I think this a strikeout, but I thought I'd take cut while I was up at the plate.
