    Lenth of Implantation Cramping
Hello, I believe I am pregnant. The Metallic taste in my mouth, as well as severe exhaustion is what is giving it away. That and very sensitive Nipples. But today I felt cramps. Like period cramping, intense for about 30 minutes or so, then just kind of dull achy. Now I feel very bloated. So my question is: When does the implantation actually happen?? We had intercourse August 1st, and now it is the 9th. How long does implantation cramping last, is aching normal does it last for a day, or is it just that one second? I'm deeply curious as I had a Blighted Ovum last August followed by a D&C, and last time I had cramping for almost the whole first 2 weeks.
    Thank you,
    Kirstie

Implantation typically occurs around 7 to 10 days after ovulation but this can vary. The cramping could be from implantation or it could be your uterus getting ready for baby. Everyone's experience is different but usually, implantation symptoms do not last for more than a few days. Cramping in early pregnancy is common as long as it is not severe or accompanied by bleeding.

Rank hit it on the head with implantation. As far as the cramping goes, I had fairly mild cramping throughout much of the first trimester. When pregnant you can/may feel cramping off and on for several weeks. As long as they aren't severe or followed by bleeding it is fairly normal.

It could be pregnancy, however be aware that all these symptoms could be symptoms of other things. The metallic taste could be from many other things, for example " * Medications such as some antibiotics, prenatal vitamins and antidepressants, as well as drugs used to treat high blood pressure, rheumatoid arthritis and kidney stones
    * Oral problems, including oral infections such as gingivitis or periodontitis, tooth infections, and poor oral hygiene" (Mayoclinic.com)

The exhaustion could be from an impending sickness, not enough sleep, not eating proper diet(essential vitamins and nutrients etc), anemia, etc.

The cramping could be oncoming pms, ovulation, implantation, plain and simple simple cramps, oncoming sickness, etc.

I had what I believed to be implantation cramps. I have never cramped mid month, but this month I did. It just lasted one day. I thought my period might be coming early because of the cramping. However, once I later discovered that I was pregnant I think it was cramping for the implantation.
As far as your symptoms. I don't think you would be experiencing any symptoms of pregnancy if you just had sex 9 days ago. If you are pregnant the egg is just now implanting and your pregnancy symptoms will come later.
Keep us posted as to what you find out.
