OK I was reading this article online about women getting pregnant during their periods. They say that it is very possible for a woman to get pregnant if she has sex during her period. I'm a little bit skeptical, I was wondering if anyone agrees with this because I think its bull.:confused:

I guess stranger things have happened, but I have my doubts too.

If the egg hasn't flushed yet, it could happen, but it's the "sticking" park I can't figure out. ;)

There are some women that actually ovulate during their period. Hard to believe, I know. You can honestly get pregnant any time of the month, although your best chances are during your ovulation period. Most, but not all, women ovulate 12 days after their period. Every body is different :)

**EDIT** I forgot to add, this happens quite a bit with women that have short menstrual cycles (shorter than 28 days). Short cycles make ovulation closer to the time you start bleeding. :)

Hmm, so is there a way to track your ovulation while on your period?

Yeah through an ovulation kit. Obviously the calendar wouldn't work :p

O so it can still detect LH surge even if u are bleeding? Interesting. I might try this

Just remember like I said in my edit above, it doesn't happen with all women, just mostly the ones who have a shorter than normal menstrual cycle. :)

I got pregnant one day before I was supposed to start my period. I think anything is possible. My dh and I were having sex when I was "ovulating" or at least thought I was, then normal throughout the rest of the month. We finally got pregnant when I thought there wasn't a chance of me getting pregnant due to a surgical procedure I had while I was supposed to be ovulating. Two weeks later it actually happened.

Yes it is possible I was on the last day of my period just finishing it and I got pregnant with my son who is now 13 months old

Oh and its more likely to happen to people who dn't have a normal 28 day cycle period
