Was a bit upset that no one else seemed to be going through this - feel a bit alone. Still trying to conceive but looks like am suddenly not ovulating now! Really wish someone could help! I think I am progesterone deficient and amhaving tests but does anyone else get 5-7 days of dark brown spotting (heavy) before theirAF starts? Help!:(

By AF do you mean your period? Sorry, I'm not too good with some terminology yet :p

Brown spotting can be normal at the beginning and again at the end of your period. The brown color indicates that it is just old blood, and your body is cleaning itself out. 5-7 days worth of it does seem excessive to me, but everyone's body is different. When you go in for your tests, I would talk to your doctor about this, just to be sure.

If you are thinking infection, I personally don't think that is what's wrong. If it were an infectin you would have a yellow or greenish smelling discharge that doesn't smell too great, and possibly some bright red blood that lasts for a prolonged time. If you ever experience any of these symptoms, see a doctor :)

Thanks for answering. I know its not infection - had swabs. Think I am having anovulatory cycles for some reason - not stress, not weight problem! Don't know why. Amtrying Vit B6 and vitamins so hopefully that will help. Every time my period comes I feel crampy for a week before and also have bad breast tenderness and dizziness. My body tricks me into feeling pregnant! All very frustrating.
