    R means red wire?
    On a Hunter 44550 programmable thermostat, does the red wire (5 wire systerm) connect to the RC terminal?

    Yes and also to the Rh if you have only one transformer. Rc and Rh need to be jumpered.

    Thanks for the help with the red wire/RC terminal!! The house is soooooooo cool now with the AC on...
