Hi, was hoping to get an opinion if this layout might cause any problems.

Picture with the Red, Green and blue are the original setup.
-red dot is my stack coming from the second floor sink/toilet.
-green do is shower from second floor.
-blue dot is the vent that was used.
-top left(T) is where the toilet/sink used to be.
-bottom left(M) goes out to the main line at the road.

My plan(with the gray) is as follows...
-cap the old line with a fernco coupling and PVC cap.
-tie the new bottom floor toilet(NT) into the original line -all 3 inch PVC.
-tie the new shower(NS) into the new toilet line - 3 inch right out of the 2 inch trap.
-tie the old shower(OS) from the second floor into the new shower line.
-vent the old shower line.

The reason I wrapped it around is because it is a basement floor, and I didn't want to cut into the footer, so this way I'm about 2 feet away from it.

My main concern is that the toilet is vented well enough since it is about 3 1/2 feet away from the vent. And that vent is actually via two other lines. My plan was to have all of these as 3 inch pipes so there should be lots of airflow in case both shower were running when the toilet was flushed.

If my description or pictures aren't clear and you need some clarification and fell like giving a hand, I can take some real pictures or try to clarify the best I can.

Hey Jody,

I not only have a problem with the proposed layout which seems to double trap the old shower and the new one but I have a problem with your present one that discharges a major fixture,(your second floor toilet) past a unvented minor one, (the second floor shower). I'm not even sure about the elevation of the old shower in relation to the new one.. You show them both running into each other but how can that be if one's on the second floor and the other's in the basement/ first floor or whatever.. In fact I'm not even sure where the new layout is going to go. Will this be a second floor remodel or a basement rough in? In other words I'm completely confused. Also you show the red stack connected to the blue vent. Why is this? Seems to me the red stack will run out the roof and vent everything except the old shower.
What else is tied into the blue vent over the second floor? Is there anything being discharged into the red stack above the second floor fixtures?
How about another drawing showing more details and if we are talking two separate floors let me know about it, don't make me have to guess. Regards, Tom

Thanks a lot for the feedback, and I apologize for the confusion - and for my lack of proper terminology.

Hopefully these pics help clarify what I am trying to do.

So, pic with the yellow bucket...
You can see on the left, the "old waste stack and old vent" I want to just move these a few feet away. The drawn in "black pipe" to the left of it is where I am going to move it(left of my electrical panel). The vent will also be moved just left of the panel. Nothing is going to change with these except the location.

The old shower is two floor above this, has a p-trap and is vented with another vent that doesn't show up in this picture.

The picture without the bucket, you can see this at the top of screen tying into the main waste stack. Instead of tying in along the ceiling, I just want to drop it strait down into the cement.

I want to run the current vent along the wall all the way around the room and tie into the old shower that will now be coming straight down the wall. This will tie into the new shower lin that will have a trap between the vent and the? shower.

This will tie into the line that will run the new toilet into the main waste stack. I have been doing a bit more research, and I think this will be fine. I think it is considered a wet vent, and it is much less than 10 feet on a 3 inch pipe, so I don't think there will be any problems... I hope.
