    stopper
    Tub wontub overflow
    Hi,

I need help. Recently the tub drain became extremely slow. I pulled out the overflow stopper and got huge gobs of hair out (three daughters) and the tub began to drain well. I decide to give the drain one more cleaning with a wire hanger and then it stopped draining at all. I have taken the stopper out but it seems like something solid has blocked the drain. I am no longer getting any hair out and the hanger seems to have stopped going down as far as it was. Is there more pieces to this mechanism? What could be blocking this? Thanks for any help.

Coat hangers just aren't good for this application. You can buy aninexpensive cock screw rodder at the hardware store, try that. You can also try this receipe; mix 1/2 cup baking soda with 1/2 cup table salt and dump it into the drain, then add 1 cup oif vinegar and allow to sit overnight. Flush in the morning with a full bucket of very hot water.
