    Im in love with a 17yr old, and I'm 20... and I have a 1yr old son... and I'm afraid that his parents are going to charge me.. can they really charge me??

    If the state you live has an age of consent of 18 then yes they can.

    Actually, if she is 17 now, then its possible she conceived while 16. It also means you may have been having sex with her even before that. And, in some states, the parents don't have to charge you. If the prosecutor's office are informed about it they may be forced to prosecute under the law.

    So yes, you may be in big trouble. I would consult an attorney.

    I live in British Columbia, Canada... and I'm in love with a 17yr old and I'm 20... I also have a 1yr old son... I'm afraid of getting charged... I'm not sure what the law says... dose anyone know if his parents can charge me??

    You can not be charged for being in love with anybody.

    First, don't start a new thread, just reply to this one.

    Second, You had sex with a 16 year old male while you were 19 and had a baby as a result? This does put a different spin on things. This article may help:
