    Period won't stop
I have been on my period for 8 weeks. It's driving me crazy! Just a quick history...
I have always had abnormal periods, finally was put on birthcontrol and they seemed to be fine. Dr. thinks I have PCOS, but I want children. He put me on clomid, I took my first round with no luck at all. Took pill 1 of second round, and at the time was very sick, was thinking I may be pregnant so I didn't take any more clomid. Period never stopped! So I put myself back on the pill to try to regulate everything, NOTHING!! Finally got ahold of Dr. he put me on YAZ 4 pills a day for 5 days. Still bleeding! Is there anything else I can do? This is making me so tired, and depressed. Please help

With all of those hormones, your body is probably just trying to figure out which way you want it to go... it may be another week or two before it can catch up... You need to stay on one medication or the other for a while until your body can find its way. Good luck.

Those are an awful lot of medications to be taking. I agree that your body could just be so confused it doesn't know what to do with itself.

Have you had an exam lately? Well, a pelvic exam to be more exact? You should probably get an exam to make sure you don't have an infection in any of your pelvic organs. It sounds like you also might want to be checked for Endometriosis :)

With being on your period for so long I would suggest some iron tablets so you don't become anemic. However be careful because they can make you constipated sometimes.

I'm having the same problem, except, I was put on Seasonique... I finally got used to, and past all the side effects, my body finally grew accustomed to it, but the one day 4 weeks ago, I started having a light period, though I took my pill on time... every night. Then One day, two weeks ago,I started bleeding so heavy I went through 6-8 Super plus pads a day... I was switched BC, but I got no luck from it. Then my gyno suggested I take 3 BC pills a day for one week, then 2 pills a day the next week, then back to one pill a day for the next week. That strategy used to work 3 months ago when I had breakthrough bleeding while on seasonique, but the BC I'm on now, (Zenchent) worked for about 5-6 hours the first day... then it went back to heavy bleeding. And the hours just grew less and less every day I take the 3 pills a day of Zenchent. I have no idea what's going on, it seems that women have this problem a lot, from all the forums I've read... except I've been on high dose of BC and now I have this problem...

I have had the same problem, went to hospital last night after 2 weeks of bleeding. They put me on progesterone 100mg, took first pill last night. It is already beginning to slow down. I am also PCOS and hyperthyroid which they believe that combination can cause bleeding.
