    Children Sharing A Bedroom/Bed
I have a 12 yr old daughter who lives with me, my live in boyfriend has a 13 yr old daughter who visits every other weekend. Her mother is causing a fit because we do not have a separate bedroom and bed for her daughter. The girls choose to "camp out" on the living room floor when she is here. I am wondering if NYS law says anything about this arrangement. Do we have anything to worry about concerning the law?

I don't see what the problem is. It isn't going to hurt the girls to sleep in the living room in sleeping bags. I don't think there is any laws you need to worry about.

The only laws I know about prevent a boy and a girl sharing a bedroom. Not 2 girls.

Nope that is perfectly fine and the fact they choose to do that shows your not telling them to...

Doesn't sound like that's anything illegal to me. Especially since it's only every other weekend. If it were every night, that might be a different story.

They are both so close in age that it wouldn't matter. The child's mom is just complaining out of jealousy that's all. And she has no business being in your house business anyway. Tell her to govern her house as she sees fit and let you govern yours. Women kill me with this sort of crape because they haven't really moved on but the guy clearly has; she's just trying yo hold onto somfthing that's not there by making sure she's ever present in your mind (by complaining about something causes you to think; worry; be bothered by what she says, therefore she's in your house, just not physically) In my opinion
