    Testing Litigation
I work for a large consumer products corporation and have done a lot of product testing over the past 11 years. I have only been deposed once, but have had numerous reports entered into litigation cases. Do I have the right to require (in a signed statement) that the company must notify me whenever my name (document or electronic) is entered into a case, if I should ever leave or be forced to leave? I know in the past documents of mine have been altered by others and I want any future documents to be originals. I have business dealings with competitor companies, child safety advocates, and the government and do not want my integrity questioned.

    Hello m:

I suppose your company could make those requirements part of their contract. But since you don't run your own shop, you're probably not going to be able to get that done.

Given that those provisions AREN'T in your contract, and you're an employee who's been paid for your work, you have no control over what your employer or your employer's customers DO with your work.

If your work is altered to YOUR detriment, you can sue for damages. If your work is altered to someone else's detriment, it's not your concern.
