    Sore throat!
I've had a sore throat for 3 days and now I have congestion and sneezing with it. When should I see my doctor and is this anything to worry about?

Are you running a fever? This may be nothing more than a cold.

I would continue taking over the counter meds. It sounds like just a cold. However if it continues for more than a week or you develop other symptoms I would go see a doctor.

It feels like post nasal drip and there's not pain all over the back of my throat when I swallow sometimes it doesn't hurt and other times it does. I'm a little congested in my nose and my throat is sore. Non fever and nothing else.

Sounds like the common cold or allergies to me. Some over-the-counter cold meds should help just fine. If you do get a fever it would be time to pay the doctor a visit.

Hi I'm a CMA (certified medical assistant)... if it's simply a sore throat with cold symptoms its probably just that... a cold. Go into a bathroom with good lighting (or use a flashlight) and open your mouth and look in the back of your throat... if you see any white spots (make sure its not just nasal drainage) if you do, it's most definitely strep throat in which you need to see a doctor. If its just sore, gargling with warm salt water will help kill the bacteria and ease your sore throat... do that a couple times a day... I swear by it :)

There's pain more on the left side than the other side like it feels like there's a scratch there

My uncle is a doctor. And I use to have sore throat problem once or twice a year.
Ar you a smoker? If so, my uncle told me to "STOP" smoking. But if you can't, then he said not to use matches. That smell... when you light the matches, that is not good for you.
And that is one of the cause for the sore throat...

If you are not a smoker, the best solution is to this is that gargle with spring water(no tap water!) three times a day and get some Recola "Honey Herb" candy. This really works! It has to be "Honey Herb" all of other flavors does not work at all.

    Peace and Love!
