My boobs hurt my back aches and a negative hpt test!
So here it goes I came on my period on the 12th June which lasted 2 days but usual it lasts between 4-5 days I had sex before the 12 and after the 2 days when I finished my period. And additional intercourse in July.so I waited a couple of days to see if I would come on to my period and I didn't so I left it another week or so to take a hpt test it came out negative twice!! So now its aug and I've been having backache a couple of time and my boobs are hurting just around the nipple they feel very senitive and tender when I touch them. I took a test this morning but it came out negative again. I'm not due to start my period until the 12-13 aug next week. So my question is can my boobs be hurting because of another factor other than pregnancy? When is the best time to take a pregnancy test? How many weeks do you have to be before it will show up positive on the test?

Your boobs may be hurting because you are about to start your period or you could be pregnant. I have been getting numerous negative. HPT as well, even though my period has not shown up yet. My nipples have been feeling tender lately too, and my period is like a month late. Lol. Maybe you should go get a blood test from your gyn.

You should take a hpt usually around 2 weeks after your period is late. You can get a blood test done as well which will be more accurate. Your breast may be sensitive do to PMS along with the backaches.
You can still get your period when you are pregnant.

So if I'm reading correctly, you haven't had a period since June, right?

If so, I think its time to go to the doctor and get tested by him/her. Some women go through a whole 9 months of pregnancy and never show positive on an HPT. Its insane huh? It does happen! At least if you get checked out by a doctor your mind will be at ease, whether it is positive or negative, and you will know why this is going on.

If it is negative, you can probably blame these symptoms on PMS. The hormones in your body that are present right before you start your period can account for the sore breasts. That is a common symptom of PMS.

To answer your other questions, it is best to wait 14 days past your missed period to take an HPT. Since you are well past that 14 days, I would recommend paying a visit to your doctor. Also, you don't have to be an certain number of weeks before it shows up on a test, but like I said you have the best chance 14 days after your missed period.

    See your doctor :)

What, it really is possible to have a negative. Pregnancy test all throughout their pregnancy?? Is that healthy?

I have seen and heard of it happening! I'm not sure if it is due to health or the reliability, or lack thereof, of the HPT.

A friend of mine from a while ago one day thought she might be pregnant. She tested and tested and tested, and never got a positive result, so she figured she wasn't pregnant, and forgot about the idea. It was like 6 months later, surprise (the baby was full term, so she had to have been three months along and stilld didn't pick it up on an HPT)! She was in labor, when she never got a positive result, so she thought she wasn't pregnant. The baby was healthy too! :)
