    Harbor Bay fan/light speed
    Hello-
I just installed a Hampton Bay Minuet II celing fan w/ light. I would guess I followed all the instructions, however... when I pull the chain to turn off the light, the fan goes to half speed. This happens on all 3 speeds.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    JIM

Ps- Yes, I meant to type Hampton in the subject line.

Verify connections at top of fan, and at light kit, Including the white(neutral).
Try unscrewing the bulbs and see if fan stops.
Be sure you are not using dimmer for fan.

I tried that... figured I had no idea what I was doing... had an electrician come out.
He checked my work... it was fine... replaced dimmer switch with toggle on the wall
Problem solved. I now see that it says NEVER use a dimmer with a fan.
It was worth the money for peace of mind.
    Thanks for your help
