Maytag dryer taking too long to dry
HELP! I have a Maytag Neptune MDG9700A front load dryer that takes FOREVER to dry clothes. I usually have large loads, but even the small ones take forever. It takes on average 2 hours to dry a load. I use the AutoDry sensor mode mostly, I just changed to the timed dry, but it doesn't seem to be getting hot enough. I vacuumed out the lint trap in the front, I clean it EVERY load. I also had my husband change the vent in the back thinking it was clogged and too long. So he bought and installed a shorter one. Please help, I hate waiting all day to finish my laundry.

Could be a bad thermostat but first disconnect the vent hose from back of unit and do a load and see if it dries more quick and post back with results. To check the thermostats, unplug the unit from wall and pull one wire off the thermostat and check for continuity. If none, replace.

Thanks for the answer. Before trying this, I had my husband check the outlet and clear it if necessary. Well it was very necessary, it was clogged with tons of lint, so once he cleaned it out my dryer worked like new! Thanks for the help! :)
