My Kenmore washing machine begins to fill up with water, but in about a minute it stops filling up with water and begins making this horrible dead ringing sound. What's wrong please HELP!! :confused:

As for the washer not filling up it sounds like the pressure switch is bad but have never heard of the noise you are taking about associated with it.
