Hello all. I’ve got a Price Pfister single-control kitchen faucet, about 1.5 yrs, with a low flow problem (both hot and cold). I took the aerator out about month ago, with no improvement; it seems to be getting worse. The side sprayer is Ok – output is fine, definitely a lot more than the tap. I took the cartridge out today, and it appeared to be clean, no sign of silt or any other debris. Likewise, the diverter insert was clean. So….I’m pretty much out of ideas – any thoughts would be appreciated.

When you had the faucet open did you turn the water back on for a minute to flush out the supplies and valve body? Regards, Tom

Check the diverter, it may be revealed with the spout off

I have the same low flow problem with an American Standard kitchen faucet, Ceramix brand. I have replaced the cartridge and o rings and no difference.

I have removed the aerator and put a speaker cable wire through the spigot (to confirm no blockage)
I'm now thinking about removing the diverter even though the diverter is brand new.

Any other ideas? Thank you

I took out the diverter and no difference - still low flow in kitchen faucet (rest of the faucets in the house are normal/good flow.)

The California energy codes were weakly enforced by faucets having added flow restrictions. The bigger faucet companies are now porting the faucets smaller with non-removable flow restricters. You will find it more difficult to get the volume you were used to. But, exhaust every avenue possible to find the current flow restricters. It could be in the areater, the spout, the diverter, the cartridge, or even in the supply connections
