    Troy built pony tractor smoking
I have a troy built pony tractor about 2.5 years old, been used very little, yesterday while mowing it started blowing a tremendous amount of smoke from the exhaust while the blades were engaged I disengaged the blades and the smoke stopped, but if you engage the blades it smokes badly and the engine starts to die, any idea? Thanks

I Think You Are Having A Problem With The Deck Drive Belt. The Smoking May Be The Belt Burning Due To A Pulley Either Having Bad Bearings, Grooves In The Pulley, Chips Of The Pulley Missing, Or The Pulley Locking Up. Check The Belt And Pulleys.

Its for sure the engine smoking, I have looked through other q&a and suspect it may be gas in the oil , the smoke began on a slight slope. Probably fouled the plug also,
    Thanks

Check your oil level to make sure you are not overfilled. Maybe the vibration of the engaged blades cause overflow and smokeing. Other than that... who knows why it is smokeing. Check your oil cap to to make sure it is secure.
