    Permanent Dye that won't shift.
Okay so here's the deal, my natural hair colour is blond or dirty blond but since January this year I have dyed my hair purple and red and all sorts but just the underneath of my hair so the top is natural.

I used Live waterproof and Live XXL colour which at the time looked nice and lasted ages...

I went to the hairdressers to go back to natural but she just dyed the underneath a chocolate brown... which has now washed out and I'm back to a red colour.
So I tried to dye it myself using Garnier Nutrise... a very blond one so that it would hopefully cover the dye, to my dismay it hasn't done a thing! Not one strand of hair was effected by the dye! I don't want to strip my hair and I don't want to bleach it because it's too damaging...

In short, does anyone know how to colour over this Dark maroon colour with a natural blond?
Are there any certain dyes that will lighten my hair and dye it at the same time?

Please help, I'm so fed up with this colour it's unbelievable.

Sweetie, in order to go from red/purple to blonde, you will need to bleach your hair and then apply the desired color. Anything other than that will result in an unwanted shade. I recommend that you go to the salon and have them do a corrective color. Good luck.
