    Debt Collection.
How much time does a credit card company have to sue you? And if they sell your debt to a collection company, how much time to they have to sue you?

    Thank you

The statue of limitation varies in the US by state, and runs from normally the last payment or last activity on your account.

If they sue and get a judgement, most judgements are good for 10 years but can be renewed.

    Credit Card Debt.
I've just asked a question about credit card debt and how much time does the credit card company have to sue you?

I live in the state of California. Can you please tell me how much time do they have, because it's been over 8 and a half years since I first went delinquent.

    Thank you
