    Car accident
My husband has no drivers license, he was hit in a parking lot by another driver, the other driver that was at fault wrote out a statement saying he was backing up and hit my vehicle, gave us his insurance information, a copy of his drivers license, his tag number, home address, home phone number and cell phone number. Do you think his insurance company is going to refuse to pay for the damages done to my vechicle, because my husband has no license.

Do you have auto insurance? Call your agent and give him all this information. This is between the two insurance companies. Your husband's lack of a license has nothing to do with the fact that the other driver hit your car and damaged it. The license thing is a police problem, so your husband may get a ticket for driving without one. (Ummmm, that's not a good thing to do, by the way.) When your insurance company asks you who was the driver of your car, the fat will hit the fire.

If the other insurance company refuses to pay (although the driver admitted he was at fault, so that shouldn't be a problem), do you have collision coverage?

No, but your husband will be up to his neck in fines for driving without a license.

I carry full coverage insurance on both of my vehicles, I know he should not drive with out a license, and that it is wrong but we both work different shifts and he has to get back and forth to work.

Why doesn't he have a license??

The whole point of a driver's license is to qualify drivers and to protect them from people who drive without a license -- thus the legal mess he is now in.

Also not this time, but if he was at fault, they could deny paying if you allowed an unlicensed driverr to drive your car.

But in the case where he is not at fault, they willhavve to pay.
