    WFI and my job
I hurt my back the middle of June and was diagnosed with a bulging disc. My doctor released me to go back to work in mid June. Since I work only parttime I do not qualify for FMLA, however I was approved for WFI(work family initive). When the doctor released me to go back to work she signed new wfi papers allowing me to be absent without pay for 60 days. This was faxed from my doctors office on 6/18/07. Now my job has no record of this last wfi fax even though immediately afterhaving the doctor fax it, the extra wfi hours showed up in my Kronos. What can I do?

Get copies of the papers plus the fax cover sheet to prove they were sent on 6/18 and personally bring them to human resources at your job. Those papers should be in your patient chart file and yes, you have legal rights to access your file.
